As everyone may now know Avalanche Ski Club has joined forces with Trolls Ski Club to incorporate over 50 years of experience. It is our mission to provide the children of the northern suburbs of Chicago a memorable ski and snowboard experience.
It has been our family's passion which has led to a special bond between myself and my sister. We have always been told "find your passions in life and figure out how to make it a job." And I think we have finally figured it out. My sister, Shayna Schneider has 19 years of experience being a PSIA ski and snowboard instructor and has helped run a ski club for the last 15 years. She is also an educator who has a passion for teaching children both in and out of the classroom. The passion I have for skiing began in eighth grade when my sister put me on a mogul run and it took me an hour to get down, however, throughout that encounter I knew that this was a sport that would be in my blood for years to come as I started competing a few years later. When I think of skiing I think of all the great relationships that have formed as a result of it, some of my best friends came from skiing. As a result of those new relationships created over the years, Christopher Bell has become one of our good friends and who shares the same passion for skiing so it only seemed fitting, since he has been the Director of Trolls Ski Club since 1990 that we asked him to become a partner in the Avalanche-Trolls Ski Club.
We are so excited to watch all of the new experiences and moments that will be created throughout winter seasons. We hope as parents and club participants you’re excited too. See you on the slopes!
